With an electrifying mix of high-energy rock & roll, R&B and popular dance music, the versatile Johnny Shot Band gets a crowd up and moving in no time. They will perform at a free show open to the public from 6-8 p.m. this Saturday in Queens’ MarketPlace Coronation Pavilion in Waikoloa Resort.

The band’s play list includes songs by the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, the B-52s, Pink, Bruno Mars and many more.

Children will learn, laugh and improve during the Rutgers Tennis Center Holiday Junior Tennis Camp from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 17-20.

The camp will be a great way to catch up on skills with lots of play, video analysis and lunch. All ages and abilities are welcome.

From 9-noon this Saturday and Dec. 29, residents and visitors are invited to help with regular maintenance such as mowing, hand weeding and weed whacking at Waimea Nature Park, Ulu La’au. A tour of the park is offered for first timers.

There will be jobs for all ages and abilities, with no knowledge of Hawaiian plants necessary. Waimea Nature Park is a project of Waimea Outdoor Circle created by 100 percent volunteer work.

A variety pf holiday activities ranging from gingerbread house and ornament workshops to greeting card workshops and photos with Santa are offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout December at Kings’ Shops in Waikoloa Resort.

From 5-7:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Aloha Natural Health will host a 10-Years in Practice Holiday Gala open to the Waikoloa community. Numerous door prize giveaways and drawings will be offered, along with pupus and non-alcoholic beverages.
