Patricia Ann Kalaniokahaunani Solomon, 69, of Kapaau, died Nov. 1, 2022 at home. Born Dec. 16, 1952, in North Kohala, she worked for Kohala Middle School Security and Kohala Surety, and a member of Kohala Hawaiian Civic Club; Na Kalai Wa’a; Kawaihae Canoe Club; Hawaiian Island Land Trust; Ke Kuahiwi A Me Ke Moana Hunting Club; Protect Pololu; Friends of Keokea; Friends of Mahukona; and Kupuna Board Member of Malama Pono. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 18 at 52-128 Keokea Park Road, Kapaau. She is survived by, daughters, Hinano Lewis, Ahja (Kaipo) Sproat and Haunani (Mike) Kua; son, Kaawalani (Jamie) Solomon; sister-in-law, Momi Wakita; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
