Leoncio Balucan Jr., 83, of Kailua-Kona died March 20 at home. Born in North Kohala, he was a groundskeeper at Makalei Golf Course and former ranch hand at Pu‘u Wa‘awa‘a Ranch. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Hawaii Island Community Health Center Kealakehe, 74-5214 Keanalehu Dr. in Kailua-Kona. Lunch to follow. Survived by children, Chucky (Angeline) Balucan of Hilo, Shannon Balucan of Waimea, Jonelle (Desmond) Balucan of Kailua-Kona and Shawn (Jamie) Kahoalii of Hilo; siblings, Nario Libron of Kohala, Patricia Segovia of Waimea, Dennis (Audrey) Balucan of Kona and Felicia Gragas of Hilo; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
