Nancy Lee Van Cleave, 97, of Kurtistown died April 4 at her daughter’s home. Born in Kapaau, Hawaii. she was a homemaker, worked at the former Liberty House in Honolulu and Dole Cannery, and was a member of Hilo Church of the Nazarene. Visitation 9-10 a.m. on Saturday May 17, at Hilo Church of the Nazarene, 595 Kupulau Road,. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Graveside committal service 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 Pavilion. Casual attire. Survived by sons, John (Deborah) Van Cleave of Eugene, Ore., Timothy (Robin) Van Cleave and Jeff Van Cleave of Kurtistown; daughters, Nanette Wong of Hilo and Jennifer Van Cleave of Kurtistown; brother, Joe Lee of Hilo; sister, Loretta Lee of Kapaau; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
