9-24-2016 The National Park Service turned 100 years old in 2016, and so did Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. To celebrate, all national parks waived entrance fees on 16 special days in 2016, and Hawaii Volcanoes offered one additional fee-free day Aug. 1, 2016, its 100th birthday. That’s right! Free National Parks entrance in 2016. On September 24, 2016: National Public Lands Day Park entrance fees were waived on this day.
